Production Notes
Most of my best ideas, notions, creations and solutions come to me in what I call the Twilight of my sleep. It's the few moments where it’s not exactly morning, nor is it night and I seem to be awake, but may not be. A few years back while doing a play, cast-mate gave it to me, saying that he wanted to change it into a monologue. I read and loved it. In December 2012,during my twilight, that poem appeared. And also, for some inexplicable reason, the Chanel commercial with Brad Pitt popped into my head as well ! (He really did look incredible filmed in black and white) I searched for the handwritten poem, found it, typed it up, tweaked it some, knowing this could be a cool short. I was going to use just one actor, but decided to cast a few men instead. I knew exactly who to ask and e-mailed them. I didn't have to plead, convince, cajole or beg anybody. All of them said yes! That doesn't even happen in Hollywood! We had a one day shoot on January 21st 2013. I staggered their call times, scheduling them at certain intervals, keeping them well-fed and hydrated.(It helps my sister, Cheryl was a Chef!) They finished their scenes and stayed because it was a fun set! We a great time, plus, I got a nice group shot at the end. The result is this wonderful film that I am so proud of. I look forward to literally sharing my dreams with the World!
